Gateway setup

Gateway installation is the process of deploying the SolarTools Gateway software to your field industrial hardware (IPC, Raspberry Pi, Ubuntu/Debian server). Once installed, your device will start communicating securely and seamlessly with the cloud.

Visual Installation Steps

Follow the steps below to install the gateway software on your device in minutes. Hover over the images to use the interactive magnifier, and click to view them in full screen:

Get the Installation Command

Navigate to the Installation tab on the gateway details page and copy the single-line installation command.

Execute on Terminal

Paste the copied command into the SSH terminal of your field device and run it. The setup wizard will ask for the Auth Key.

Automated Docker Setup

The Gateway software runs with high performance using isolated Docker containers in the background. Our installation script will automatically install Docker and necessary dependencies for you if they are not already present on your system. No manual configuration is required.
