Deploy Config
When commissioning a new PV site or industrial plant on the SolarTools platform, you can remotely push your custom device profiles and RS485 communication maps to your gateways with a single command.

Modbus Mapping Interface
Design Modbus register maps for your inverters, meters, and sensor devices from the portal.
One-Click Deploy Screen
Push your prepared configuration to the gateway device remotely with a single command.
Step-by-Step Profile & Configuration Deployment
Follow these 3 fundamental configuration steps to ensure your gateway reads telemetries from the connected instruments:
Device Profile Preparation
Select the target inverter, meter, or weather station Modbus register map from the pre-built library, or customize your own. Configure telemetries polling frequency (e.g., 10 seconds).
Gateway Connector Association
Bind your constructed device profile to the gateway's physical RS485 ports (Port 1 / Port 2). Assign a unique Modbus Slave ID (address) for each physical hardware.
Trigger Deploy Configuration
Once all parameters are in place, trigger "Deploy Configuration". The gateway restarts local connector processes in the background, applies the registry changes, and fires telemetry publishing.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does deploying configurations pause live dashboards?
No. The reload of local polling services completes silently in 2-3 seconds, ensuring no loss or gaps in live telemetry. - What if the deploy execution fails?
Verify that the gateway is actively online. If the device heartbeat is missing, deploy requests are securely queued in the cloud and automatically applied as soon as connection recovers.
