Role System Overview

There are four basic roles to ensure data security on SolarTools.

User roles determine the access rights and the operations that can be performed within the platform. Every user must have at least one role. Correct role configuration ensures operational security while helping users focus only on the tools they need.

OW

Owner

The highest level user role with full authority on the platform.

AD

Admin

A highly privileged role that manages the day-to-day operations of the organization.

ME

Member

Standard user role that can only operate in assigned facilities.

Important Rules

Points to consider when managing roles.

Owner Assignment

An organization can have multiple Owners. An existing Owner can make another user an Owner. However, they cannot delete themselves or downgrade everyone's role so that there is no Owner left in the organization.

Data Isolation

Users with Member and Viewer roles can only see the facilities they are authorized for. Their access to other facilities in the organization is completely blocked.
