Active dashboards

The Active Dashboards page is the primary workspace where previously created or deployed dashboards can be viewed and managed. Users can switch between dashboards, monitor live data, manage dashboard settings, and customize existing dashboards by entering edit mode.

This screen provides a unified workspace containing widgets, charts, data cards, and dashboard management tools related to the selected dashboard. Dashboard tabs located at the top allow quick navigation between different dashboards.

The Active Dashboards screen combines dashboard tabs, widget areas, charts, data cards, and dashboard management tools in a single workspace.

Dashboard Settings

The Dashboard Settings screen is used to manage the dashboard's core information and visual preferences. The General Information tab contains dashboard name and display order settings, while the Appearance & Background tab allows users to customize the dashboard background with colors or images.

Edit Mode

Update and manage dashboards efficiently

Using the Edit Dashboard option, users can modify existing dashboards. Widget layouts can be updated, new components can be added, and changes can be saved.

Add new data cards, charts, tables, and other dashboard components.

Editing Tools

Save & Cancel

Save modifications or cancel editing when required.

Delete Dashboard

Authorized users can permanently remove dashboards from the system.

Widget Creation Flow

When a new component needs to be added to an active dashboard, the Add Widget action is used. This process consists of category selection, widget selection, and configuration steps. The widget creation process is explained in detail within the Custom Dashboard Creation section.

Category Selection

The widget category is selected first. The system displays only the components that belong to the selected category.

Choose the dashboard you want to view from the tabs at the top.

Review Data

Monitor live data through charts, cards, and tables.

Manage Settings

Configure dashboard name, display order, and background settings.

Edit

Enter edit mode when necessary and update widget layouts.

Save

Save all changes and continue using the updated dashboard.

Example Use Case

Transformer Performance Monitoring

A user can open the Transformer 1 dashboard and monitor daily energy consumption, active power, reactive power, voltage, and current data from a single screen. When necessary, the dashboard name or visual appearance can be updated through Dashboard Settings. By entering Edit Mode, additional widgets can be added and existing widget layouts can be rearranged.

Best Practice

Place the most frequently monitored metrics in the upper sections of active dashboards. This improves readability and allows users to access critical information more quickly.
