The most powerful way to visualize your data and track live telemetry streams from the field in the SolarTools platform is through Widgets. Thanks to our rich widget library offered in 11 different categories, you can monitor everything from inverter efficiency to single-line electrical diagrams (SCADA) on fully customizable dashboards.

Widget Configuration and Live Data Flow

The process you need to follow to visualize data read from your field devices:

Select Widget

Choose the widget from the library that best fits your needs (charts, SCADA, value cards etc.).

Connect Data

Map holding registers, telemetry tags or virtual tag values to be read.

Thresholds & Colors

Define min/max limits and colors that will change in warning/alarm conditions.

Dashboard Layout

Adjust the size with the drag-and-drop interface and publish your live dashboard.

Add Your First Widget

Right-click on the dashboard or press the "+" button → Widget library opens

Open the widget library by right-clicking on an empty space on the dashboard or clicking the "+" icon on the toolbar.

Track real-time sensor values such as active power, temperature, or irradiation using high-resolution digital gauges and customizable value cards. Features dynamic indicator colors based on critical thresholds.

Pro Tip: Virtual Tag Integration

You can visualize not only raw telemetry data in your widgets, but also the mathematical formula results (e.g. Overall Plant Yield = Yield / Installed Power) calculated via virtual tags.
