Alarm rules

Alarm Rules are logical definitions that determine under which conditions your field devices will generate an alarm. Thanks to the flexible rule engine, you can compare different metrics and customize threshold values according to your own scenarios.

Creating an Alarm Rule

Creating a new alarm rule is very simple and flexible. You can detail your scenario by following the steps below while creating a rule:

01

Basic Information

Give your rule a descriptive name. Determine what the rule is created for and what severity (Critical, Warning, etc.) an alarm will be generated at.
02

Condition & Thresholds

Select which device or device group to monitor. Define the threshold value using logical operators like greater than (>), less than (<), or equal to (=) by selecting metrics like current, voltage, or temperature.
03

Tolerance & Notification

Set the violation duration (e.g., 5 mins) to prevent false alarms. Choose who will be notified via Email, SMS, or push notifications when the rule triggers.

Rule Updating and Management

You can instantly update or manage your existing rules according to your operational changes. Take quick actions from the rule list.

Edit Rule

Easily update threshold values, targeted devices, or the rule's severity level later. Changes take effect immediately.

Active / Inactive Status

Instead of completely deleting a rule for maintenance work or temporary situations, suspend it temporarily by setting it to an inactive state.

Duplicate Rule

To save time when creating a similar rule, duplicate the existing rule, make only the necessary minor changes, and save.

Tip: Complex Conditions

You can create much more specific alarm scenarios by combining multiple conditions with "AND" / "OR" operators. For example: "If inverter temperature is greater than 60°C AND fan speed is zero".
